ACT
The ACT is a standardized test for high school achievement and college admissions in the United States. Some students who perform poorly on the SAT find that they perform better on the ACT. The ACT consists of four tests: English, Math, Reading, and Science Reasoning. The Ivy Key program is designed to teach students core math, English and science concepts. Students learn The Ivy Key’s patented methods for efficiently writing, reading passages and maximizing their time and score on the ACT.

Test Overview

At 2 hours 55 minutes (excluding the optional 30-minute writing test), the ACT takes less time than the SAT; however, with more questions the ACT requires a faster pace. All four-year colleges and universities in the U.S. now accept the ACT, but some institutions place different emphasis the ACT compared to other factors of evaluation such as class rank, GPA, and extracurricular activities. Some schools consider the ACT an alternative to both the SAT and some SAT Subject tests, whereas others accept the ACT but require SAT Subject tests, as well.
